Stiff Goldenrod is a rhizomatous, native perennial. It is found in open woods and prairies, and around glades throughout the Midwest. Stiff Goldenrod features tiny, bright yellow, daisy-like flowers dense, erect, flat-topped clusters atop stiff, broad-leaved, hairy stems. Individual flowers (to 1/2" diameter) are larger than those of most other native goldenrods. Flowers bloom late summer to early autumn.
